Criss Library is extending hours for prep and finals week this semester. "We are pleased to offer students this additional time", said Dave Richards, Dean of Library Services. The library will stay open until 1:00am Monday-Thursday during prep week, and Sunday-Thursday during finals week to allow UNO students additional research and study hours.

Extended hours dates are:

  • Monday-Thursday, April 25-28: 7:00am-1:00am
  • Sunday, May 1: Noon-1:00am
  • Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4: 7:00am-1:00am

Theses & Dissertations

Theses and dissertations completed by students of University of Nebraska at Omaha graduate programs are collected and maintained by Criss Library. Honor's Theses, Writer's Workshop and Creative Theses (M.F.A.) are available in print only, with one copy available for checkout in the third floor circulating collection and one archival copy in University Archives. Masters and Educational Specialists and Doctoral Dissertations are available full-text via ProQuest, and in print from University Archives, which is located on the first floor of the library.

Locating UNO theses and dissertations

  • Via the Library Catalog: change the material type to thesis and enter title, author, or subject keywords.
  • Via DigitalCommons@UNO: Masters and Educational Specialists and Doctoral Dissertations from 1931 to the present are currently being added.
  • Via the ProQuest Database: Masters and Educational Specialists and Doctoral Dissertations from 1931 to the present. Additional dissertations and theses will be added as they become available.
