Library Information
University Archives Policy
Access PolicyVirtually everything housed in University Archives is accessible to researchers interested in the history of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Several Archives collections are cataloged with a description available in the Library Catalog (link). Donation PolicyUniversity Archives has been designated as the official repository for materials relating to the history of the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Consequently, campus colleges, departments, and agencies are asked to send publications, meeting minutes, publicity materials, etc., to University Archives on a regular basis. UNO Alumni may also assist Archives by donating materials from their college years, including memorabilia, artifacts, and photographs. The support of both the University community and alumni is very important if the history of this institution is to be preserved. Class Use of Archive CollectionsMany collections in University Archives contain unique resources. Arrangements may be made for Archives personnel to visit with individual classes to describe these resources and how they may be used. This may be of particular value to students unfamiliar with the use of primary resource materials. Please contact Archives staff well in advance to arrange a mutually convenient time for your program. Photocopy PolicyDue to age, condition, or copyright restrictions, there may be some materials in Archives that are not suitable for photocopying or may be copied only with the assistance of Archives staff.
